kathakali

I visited India for the first time a few years ago – it didn’t disappoint.

On our trip we were lucky enough to travel down south to Kerala where the traditional Hindu dance entertainment is Kathakali.

The character in the centre of the seat is the main protagonist whose face you see everywhere you go.

Other elements in my design were papayas, marigolds, and monkeys, henna tattoos, humming birds, Hummingbird Beer and an elephant.

In the grass there is a discarded water bottle and a Coke bottle – just to acknowledge the growing problem of pollution and plastic waste that threatens all the above.
