Reading The Riots bedroom chair

I read a government report on the reasons for the riots and looting that took place over five summer nights in 2011.

It struck me that it had been largely an episode of group madness, involving many people who would not have been inclined to break the law under normal circumstances.

The testimony of these people made interesting reading.

I used their words as a fabric design.

There are three pieces of furniture in the collection; an armchair, a desk chair and this titchy bedroom chair.

All my furniture is unique – I never repeat a design.
