Description
I recently visited Kerala in Southern India where the traditional Hindu dance entertainment is Kathakali. The character on this cushion is the main protagonist whose face you see everywhere you go. Other elements in my design were papayas, marigolds, and monkeys, henna tattoos, humming birds, Hummingbird Beer and an elephant. In the grass there is a discarded water bottle and a Coke bottle – just to acknowledge the growing problem of pollution and plastic waste that threatens all of the above.
