The Happy Thursday chair was commissioned as a very special seventieth birthday present.
The recipients whole family contributed to the list of facts, imagery, quotations and general information about the birthday boy; I wove it into a fabric design and put it on a chair.
Walnut Whips, dandelions, Leonard Cohen, MG’s, trifles, clogs, pirates, fireworks and cowboy’s – it’s all there. All the little sayings, foibles and idiosyncrasies of a much loved husband, father and grandfather.
He loved it so much he wrote me a sonnet.
